This is a military-spec G-Wagen built by Puch in Austria, back when these trucks were made to be simple, durable, and easy to run anywhere. It’s the same platform that built the G’s reputation, just without the weight, cost, and complexity of the newer ones.
This one has 44,489 km (27,644 miles) and it’s been properly sorted. We’ve already been through it, maintenance is up to date, and it drives exactly how it should. Fires up easily, tracks straight, and the brakes are surprisingly strong for something this age, which makes it feel more modern than it really is. But if you're looking for heated seats, twin turbos, and Apple CarPlay, this one may not be for you.
This is about as usable as these get. Light steering, good visibility, easy to place on the road. The soft top and rear layout give you flexible seating in the back, so it works for people or gear without needing to overthink it. Beach runs, dirt roads, daily errands, it all fits.
What makes it interesting is how approachable it is. You get into something genuinely unique without stepping into modern G pricing, and you’re not dealing with a bunch of electronics or systems you don’t need. It’s just a solid, well-kept truck that does its job and looks good doing it.
Clean, maintained, and ready to go. More pictures coming.
