The Japanese-market G320 has always been one of the coolest ways to get into a classic G-Wagon. Smaller, lighter-feeling, easy to live with, and powered by the Mercedes M112 V6, these trucks strike a balance that a lot of people are still searching for.

This particular example is a super clean 1998 Japanese-spec G320 with approximately 154,000 kilometers (roughly 96,000 miles), and it still feels exceptionally well cared for. The M112 3.2L V6 has earned a reputation for being one of Mercedes’ most dependable drivetrains from the era. Smooth, quiet, straightforward to maintain, and capable of going an incredibly long time when properly cared for. It delivers power in a way that feels refined without losing the mechanical personality that makes these older Gs so enjoyable to drive.

Inside, this one still retains its slick cloth interior, which is getting increasingly difficult to find in this kind of condition. Honestly, it just fits the truck perfectly. There’s something about the simplicity of these older cabins that still feels refreshing. No giant touchscreens, no endless menus, just a clean and functional interior that still manages to feel special every time you climb into it.

A few unique Japanese-market details are still present throughout the truck as well, which always make for great conversation starters and add a little extra personality to these imports.

Mechanically, this one checks all the right boxes:

• A/C blows cold
• Diff locks function properly
• Upgraded head unit adds more modern audio/connectivity options
• Drives exactly the way you’d hope a clean G320 would

And in the interest of full transparency, this truck currently has a cracked bumper. (pictured in the YouTube video) That said, it will be fully repaired before purchase and delivery. You’ll never even know it was there.

Apart from that, this thing is ready to enjoy as-is, or serves as an excellent platform for several of the upgrades we offer. And, as always, it's been through a full pre-buy inspection; it's good to go.

We never really know what interest levels will look like when clean options like this pop up, but we’ve seen significant demand for these in the past.
