It’s also already been built. This G55 wears a full 4-inch setup with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires on factory AMG wheels, giving it the stance and capability these trucks deserve. Our custom rock sliders add real protection and utility, while a FOX ATS adjustable steering damper helps keep the steering controlled and composed with the larger tire setup.
Up front, the blacked-out factory-style bull bar finishes the look. The result feels cohesive rather than modified for modification’s sake. It still looks unmistakably like a G55, just tougher, taller, and considerably more capable.
And then there’s the reason to own an ’05 G55 at all: the supercharged 5.4-liter AMG V8. It’s an absurdly good pairing with the old-school G-Class, with huge torque, instant power, and a personality newer G Wagons simply don’t replicate.
Yes, it has higher mileage than some examples on the market. The price reflects that, but the condition doesn’t.
