Nothing But G's
W460/W463 135W Flexible Hood Solar Panel
W460/W463 135W Flexible Hood Solar Panel
Add serious solar charging capability to your G Wagon without sacrificing roof space.
The Lensun 135W Flexible Solar Panel is shaped specifically to fit the hood of the Mercedes G-Class W463 and W460. Once installed, it provides a permanent source of solar power for maintaining your vehicle battery, auxiliary battery, or compatible portable power station while you're parked, camping, or traveling off-grid.
With 135 watts of peak output, this is the higher-output option for owners running more equipment or simply wanting to make the most of the available hood space. It can help keep refrigerators, cameras, lighting, phones, communications equipment, and other accessories powered without relying exclusively on the vehicle's alternator.
Because it's permanently mounted to the hood, there's nothing to unpack, unfold, or find room for inside the truck. When there's sunlight, you've got a charging source.
Why We Like It
135 watts of always-available solar power
The panel can help maintain your starting or auxiliary battery while the vehicle is parked and provide additional charging capacity for G Wagons equipped for camping, overlanding, or extended off-grid use.
Charge compatible power stations
Standard solar connectors allow the panel to work with many popular portable power stations when paired with the appropriate adapter.
No roof space required
The hood-mounted design leaves your roof rack available for a tent, cargo boxes, recovery equipment, or the approximately 400 pounds of stuff you were apparently going to bring anyway.
Reduced hood glare
The ETFE surface features a low-reflection finish that can help reduce glare from the hood while driving.
Built for outdoor use
Grade A PERC monocrystalline solar cells are protected beneath a durable ETFE surface designed to withstand heat, UV exposure, corrosion, moisture, and demanding weather conditions.
Thin and lightweight
At approximately 3mm (0.12") thick and 7.7 pounds, the flexible panel adds very little weight or bulk to the vehicle compared with a conventional rigid solar panel.
Vehicle-specific fitment
This isn't a universal rectangular solar panel adapted to fit a G Wagon. The panel is shaped specifically around the W463/W460 hood for a much cleaner, more integrated installation.
Optional Vinyl Protection Layer
A custom-cut vinyl decal can be installed between the solar panel and the hood. We recommend using it to create an additional protective barrier between the panel and the vehicle's paint.
Optional 10A Waterproof MPPT Solar Controller
The optional 10A waterproof MPPT solar controller provides a clean, plug-and-play solution for connecting the solar panel to your vehicle or auxiliary battery.
The controller comes pre-wired with fuses, terminals, and connectors and provides intelligent protection against conditions such as reverse polarity and overcharging. It is compatible with sealed lead-acid, AGM, gel, flooded lead-acid, and lithium-ion batteries.
